In addition, Apple has been developing an AR/XR for some time -Glasses. The compatibility of this device aims to be deeply embedded in the iOS system. The iPhone maker’s first AR/XR glasses are expected to be officially unveiled in spring 2023. iOS 17.0 is expected to bring a variety of modifications, improvements and innovations. As usual, some of these are larger, others less.

- Participation in the beta program will only be possible in the future with a developer account that has been activated for the “Apple Developer” program. This change will already take effect with iOS 16.4.

This includes a newer generation of the Neural Engine developed by Apple itself. While the A11 has a dual-core design, the 2018 Neural Engine has eight cores, and the latest Apple products feature this co-processor with sixteen cores.
As a result, some exciting features in iOS 14, 15 and 16 could only be used on the newer iPhones starting with the iPhone XS, but not on the previous generations.
