These Smartphones get the update to Android 11
While some are still waiting for the manufacturer to finally release the update from Android 9 to Android 10 for their devices for installation, Android 11 is currently in the starting blocks to be delivered after the test phase has almost ended. When it comes to updates for Android smartphones, in contrast to other manufacturers who all pursue their own update policy, Google Pixel owners are of course always one step ahead and will be the first to receive the latest version.
However, this does not necessarily apply to the entire product family of Google Pixel smartphones. Because especially the older models of the first generation will no longer receive the current Android 11.

What’s new in Android 11
Revised notification system
The Android notification system, which is actually very successful, has been improved and now enables various messenger applications to be moved to a separate area for notifications. This should make it easier for the user to sort and prioritize messages.
Integration of smart home control
Already in Android 10, quick access was integrated on the screen that could be called up via the volume buttons. So you could quickly access all audio settings. In Android 11, the focus is now on the topic of smart homes. A kind of control center for all smart home devices can be opened using the on / off button, for example to control lights, sockets or TV. It should no longer be necessary to open a separate app to control the devices.
Improved data protection
The topic of data protection is actually always topical and the challenges, especially for software providers, are also growing steadily and have to be adapted. After really good changes were already built into Android 10, for example by proactively displaying messages about apps that required permanent location access. This way you always had an overview and could decide whether and when this or that app was granted authorization. In Android 11, all of this has been further refined and expanded.
Android analyzes the usage behavior of apps and blocks superfluous authorizations that are not necessary for operation (including background use) after a long period of non-use. When starting the app, the user will be asked again later whether and which permissions he would like to approve. And that can then be set very finely for a limited time.
In addition, as with every new generation of Android, the energy management and storage optimization were further refined in order to improve the user experience.

LG has really not covered itself with fame with its update policy in recent years, which is why it is currently not possible to make valid statements as to which models will get the update to Android 11.
We are of course assuming that the flagships like the LG V60 Thinq 5G will be supplied fairly quickly, but with all older models it can take quite a while.
