The most important thing for optimizing your content beforehand:

Make content for people and not for search engines!

If you start to create the texts for your page then of course you will orient yourself to the so-called keywords in order to be found as good as possible when searching for users on Google. However, the bigger the competition in your area, the harder it gets to land on Google on the first page. Because everybody wants to go there!

Keywords are therefore an important element for optimization.

Your keywords should be included not only in the body text, but also in specially formatted headings (H1, H2, etc.).

However, it does not make much sense in the end to artificially populate your page with keywords, but in the end it does not add value to the user he actually expected when he landed with you.

Because whether, how fast and how long you will find on Google on page 1 depends not only on the number of clicks, but also significantly on the duration of the users spend on your page, and the page depth.
(Ie how many subpages are visited after the landing page).

That’s why a healthy amount of matching keywords is just as important as the content you want to convey with your page.

But how do I find the “healthy measure”, and which keywords are the right ones for my project?

  • Compile a list of words that apply to your core offer.

Each newspaper and every newscast shows us time and again how much more informative images compared to pure texts have.

This is certainly partly due to the time we live in, because we like to consume information on the Internet and a lot, but it should be easy, fast and convenient. And not such long texts as the ones you are reading ;)

As far as pictures are concerned, let me say in advance:  Much helps a lot.

  • Use expressive images as a supporting element for texts and offers.
  • Google does not know what your picture shows!
    (In any case, use the so-called alternative texts for your pictures if you install them on your page.)
  • Give the pictures a meaningful file name.
  • Pay attention to the file size of your pictures!

“If you now have images on the page whose file size is in the range of megabytes instead of a few kilobytes, Googlebot will register it, and your page might be downgraded due to a technically user-unfriendly design in the ranking, even though your content is otherwise very good.)

(There you upload your pictures, and you can retrieve them without visible loss of quality.)

Interesting for Google, as for each of us are the pages in the network about which much is being talked about. And Google finds these through so-called backlinks that refer to your page.

What does this mean the more pages that refer to your page in the form of links that arouse interest. Of course, this also affects the ranking, as Google wants to offer its users a pleasant user experience, but especially relevant content.

Should I buy backlinks?

Although there is still a large supply of sellers who sell you Sum X backlinks for Period Y, and thus improve your ranking, we give the clear advice, “Let it!”

Instead, invest your money in paid advertising rather than artificially raising your profile. Because Google does not stand in its development websites to rate, and has now learned to distinguish between purchased and real links.

The consequence might even be that if you have overdone it with the purchased backlinks your page will even be penalized indefinitely in the ranking, and in the end the loss is greater than the short term profit you have made with the links.

Which form of backlinks are there?

There is a difference between “dofollow” and “nofollow” links.

The so-called “dofollow” links are the ones that everyone likes to, and are the hardest to get, because these are at the page which refers to your provided with an attribute that tells the search engine that the link to the popularity of the linked page and contributes is taken into account during indexing.

The so-called “nofollow” links represent exactly the opposite in terms of the attribute used. Google registers the link, but it will not significantly improve the popularity of your page.

How do I get backlinks?

  • Link building for your site is a process that should evolve continuously.
    (comment on blogs, and start your own)
  • Create a Google Business Account.
  • Close partnerships with other companies with whom you can achieve synergy effects.
  • Pay attention to the quality of the backlinks.
    (Pages that enjoy a low popularity on Google itself will bring you much less boost than those that are already successfully established in the market!)
  • Make sure your backlinks do not grow too fast (with the exception of the business directories). (Because Google is not perfect, and if you get 20 backlinks in one day at a time, they might consider them as purchased links, even if they are not!)
  • Make press releases.
  • Try to get links from relevant pages.
    (If you run a site for a car repair shop, for example, and get a lot of links from sites that are completely non-industry related, Google may consider them “less valuable” than those coming from automotive parts suppliers, for example).
  • Sign in to all the well-known business books.
